ABOUT THE PACK

Meeting Night: Mondays.

Fees: £30 per term.

We would kindly ask that all fees are paid at the start of each term.

Cub Scout's are aged 8 – 10½ years old. The Cub Scout's meet in Packs of between 12 and 24.

Cubs have lots of fun doing different activities which include making things, going on visits, making friends, doing badges, lots of outdoor activities and of course camps.You can visit the Cub page at the Scout Associations offical site at the following link Cubs website

Some typical Cub activities include:-

• Working towards earning "Badges" • Play lots of Games
• Visit the local Fire Station • Do a sponsored walk
• Go on an Activity Day • Go on a Nature Trail or Treasure Hunt
• Make things out of just about anything! • Invite someone from the community for a talk
• Walk in a Parade • Trip to a local Country Park
• Having fun • Making friends
• Indoor camps • Outdoor camps

We aim to provide a balanced program of activities that are fun and challenging for the Cub's. Activities are designed to allow them to try new things, meet new people, make new friends, learn about themselves and others and the world around them, have fun and play games. Cub's enjoy trying new skills which help them develop physically, mentally and socially.

When Cub Scout's start, they learn about the basic history of scouting and the Cub Scout Promise:

I Promise that I will do my best,
to do my duty to God,
and to the Queen,
to help other people,
and to keep the cub Scout Law.

After a few weeks they will take part in a small investiture ceremony where they'll officially become members of the Cub Pack and and the worldwide Scout movement.

Beaver badge

“Badges”

In Scouting there are lots of badges that the children can earn by doing various activities. There are 7 Challenge badges for the Cub's to work towards earning:-

• Promise • Fitness
• Community • Outdoor
• Creative • Global
• Outdoor Plus

There are also 33 Activity badges they can do as well as 6 staged Activity badges. The staged activity badges can be started as Beavers and can then be built on in Cub's and Scout's. Full details of all the badges can be found at Badges

Beaver badge

“Chief Scouts's silver Award”

This badge is the highest award that the Cub scout's can work to achieve. It is gained by completing the following challenges:-

• Promise • Fitness
• Community • Outdoor
• Creative • Global

These cub's earned their Silver Awards and are being presented with their badges and certificates.
